I think this has been depicted in a very realistic rather than 'candy' way, so it's obvious that Ben and Gwen are getting on each other nerves' and calling names. Nastiness, 'gross' language - The rivalry between Ben and Gwen is natural of siblings, although they're cousins. It's basically his job, like a policeman of the world. It is important, however, to notice that he's veteran of contacts with aliens, belonging to The Plumbers, a special undercover organisation to keep humanity in good relations with aliens and to protect it from any dangers. The show itself doesn't depicit any blood as I remember, although Max was taken to hospital with broken leg. This should be critically spoken about with children, as means of self-defense against burglars, thieves and such meanies. Even grandpa Max had to fight hand-to-hand with with baddies. What I would like to talk about in this review comes from a 20-year-old, who has been brought on similar cartoons and, at least for me, can be critical about them. The art is anime inspired but it's made by Man Of Action who also created Big Hero 6 for Disney. Also in response to a reviewer stating that this is from Japan, it's actually not. Also I don't think this show is that great and there's WORSE things that kids watch. As for those live action movies that tie-in to the show, it might be a good idea to explain computerized images being added by a cartoonist to make it look better but that it's just actors and therefore FAKE. He only had to be told once and never had an issue because he knew that cartoons aren't real because you never see a cartoon character walking around. And meanwhile back when my cousin was 3-4 years old he was constantly calling the show fake and he never acted the violence out. I even noticed that another reviewer mentioned that "kids 2-8" can't be comforted by telling them the show isn't real because they can't tell the difference even if you point it out. I noticed reviewers who mentioned that it caused the kids to act out violently and misbehave.
